Skilltype Database Surpasses 11,000 Trainings, Including Library Juice Academy

In response to the evolving trends and interests exhibited by libraries and users on our platform, Skilltype’s content team has added 800 new resources to Skilltype’s curated index of training material. These resources reinforce our dedication to offering the most relevant and current content to support our community’s professional development needs. As a result of this expansion, the Skilltype community now enjoys access to a repository of more than 11,000 items.

Partnering with Library Juice Academy

We’ve integrated links to 200 courses from Library Juice Academy in response to customer feedback. The Library Juice Academy courses linked through Skilltype provide customers with the opportunity to register for live courses led by industry practitioners. Students who register for and complete Library Juice Academy courses will be eligible for certificates equivalent to continuing education units. While these new resources have broad applicability to information professionals across different settings, their emphasis on skills development significantly enhances professional competence and performance.

We have refreshed library cataloging fundamentals, subject headings, and classification with resources from the Library of Congress. We have also added resources that support student success, open educational resources, and integrations with learning management systems like Canvas.
