October 2025 Skilltype Content Update

October brought another wave of meaningful updates to the Skilltype platform as we continue to grow our content and ensure it’s accurately tagged, up to date, and aligned with the evolving needs of library professionals. Here’s what changed over the past month:

Catalog Activity

  • 1,143 new items added – This includes newly published training resources, documentation, and event content from across the library, archives, and information science communities.
  • 169 items edited – These updates involved enhancing metadata, including applying new vocabulary tags, refining vague tag descriptions, and adding header banner images to improve visual navigation and discovery.
  • 13 items deactivated – These were duplicates or links that are no longer active.

  • Ollama – AI infrastructure for building and running models locally.
  • Langchain – Framework for building applications powered by language models.

  • Ovid – Research platform for clinical and academic content.
