BATON ROUGE – March 6, 2023 – Skilltype, Inc., the talent management platform for libraries, is thrilled to announce the appointment of Matt Allan as Skilltype’s first full-time Product Manager.

Allan’s Rich Startup and Product Manager Background
As a self-described startup junkie, Matt Allan brings more than three years of Product Management and Product Marketing experience within the New Orleans tech ecosystem. He also brings a decade of leadership experience in non-profit social enterprises in New Orleans, Los Angeles and Cambodia. Matt’s curiosity, data-driven approach and experience working with varied customers and growth-stage startups will be invaluable as we identify new ways to scale and improve the Skilltpe platform. Matt holds an MBA from Hope International University and a BA in Cultural Studies from Biola University. He’s certified as a Scrum Product Owner, an AWS Cloud Practitioner and as a Python Data Analyst.
Matt Allan’s role as Skilltype’s Product Manager includes a number of responsibilities. He will be managing and executing Skilltype’s product roadmap and prioritizing new features or improvements. Allan will also be responsible for conducting product and market research. Customer feedback and analyzing platform data to spot trends and opportunities will be crucial to his role. Additionally, he facilitates communication between Skilltype’s Engineering, Customer Success, and Sales teams, ensuring the platform provides community value.
